The earrings are marked with 56 Zolotnik Imperial gold standard and maker’s initials. They were made in Russia between 1908 and 1917. They center beautiful electric blue drop natural earth-mined sapphires surrounded by diamonds, with a trio of diamonds on top. The hooks are secured with a beautifully-wrought catch in back. I purchased these about 10 years ago from a Russian lady who imports original jewelry from pre-Revolutionary War Russia. I am selling them because my ears are very sensitive and their weight is a bit heavy for me, even though they are very light at 5.55 grams for the pair. They are in perfect condition. Selling for what I paid for them.
