This is a cool example of a RARE spiny trilobite. It is a fine Ceratonurus sp. from Oklahoma. This specimen was found by, and acquired from, the late, great Eugene Thomas' Collection. This type is probably the most sought-after and elusive spiny trilobites from the Haragan of Oklahoma. This delicate fossil is beautifully outstretched on a sculpted matrix block. Both ''horns'' and free cheeks are present (which is very unusual), and the body spines are very long and quite impressive. Ceratonurus is one of the hardest of the Oklahoma trilobites to find and prepare, and this one is so collectible, Eugene kept it for himself!
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS.com is included with this specimen. FREE SHIPPING in the USA!
