RARE HUGE 1 1/2" Vintage 14k Yellow Gold MEXICAN BLACK OPAL MOSAIC CROSS Pendant

Please look at all pictures, at certain angles some pieces of opal are dark and look like chips, but you will see in another picture (when the fire returns), that they are perfect mosaics. I would say this piece is in excellent condition.
This is a vintage (genuine and natural) Mexican gold black opal mosaic.  ***I have oval earrings listed that will match this pendant perfectly.***
This bezel set opal mosaic is a doublet (not a triplet with a quartz top), so you can actually feel the individual opal pieces. This is generally only in higher quality opal mosaics.
This pendant is 14k yellow gold (not plated) weight 8.8 g. Mexican black opal mosaics are not very common. This mosaic is dark with reds, greens, blues, and gets quite amazing in sunlight. You can't beat the intensity of fire in these Mexican black opal mosaics!
The cross is approx. 1 1/2"L x 1 1/8" W (2 1/8" L with bail).
It has a very nice sized hinged bail.
It is in excellent vintage condition (see pictures for minor wear to mosaic due to age) and it is hallmarked 14k.
