Here we have spectacular museum quality jewels!  Victorian Belle Epoque jewels are so very hard to find and here we have one of the most beautiful sets adorned with an abundance of stunning diamonds, rubies, pearls and enamel.
And snake jewelry is all the rage - look at the photo of Naomi Watts from the Oscars I have included!   And our other snake jewely that we have listed!
In a fine antique jewelry store the set would be approximately ,000-15,000!
The earrings are in the form of basse-taille blue enamel snakes entwined around vines and leaves.  The snakes eyes are ruby cabochons.  The leaves are set with 24 rose cut diamonds of incredible beauty!  The diamonds are white and sparkling - gorgeous!
The earrings are in excellent condition.  There are a few tiny spots of enamel loss on the earrings - 2 near the head of one snake. These are unobtrusive and do not detract from the earrings in my opinion.  The earrings are 1 inch (26mm) long not including the hooks.  They test for 18K gold.  The hooks are 14K and later.  The earrings together weigh 8.4 grams.
The brooch is a stunning large jewel of great beauty!  There are 3 baroque pearls and diamond encrusted leaves and a diamond encrusted ribbon at the base.  The 36 rose cut diamonds in the brooch are gorgeous white sparkling gems!!!  The jewels are all set in 18K gold.  There is lovely gold engraving at the top and bottom of the brooch in the form of rings within a tree branch!  The brooch has a C-clasp.
The brooch is in excellent condition.  There are a few tiny spots of enamel damage - 1 near the clasp hinge and one on the lower left near the diamond ribbon.  These do not detract from the piece in any way in my opinion but I wanted to mention it.  2 of the pearls have been repaired which is visible from the back of the brooch but not the front.  The brooch is 2 5/8 inches (65 mm) tall and 1 3/8 (33mm) wide.  It is not hallmarked.   It tests for 18K gold.  The brooch weighs 17 grams.
These are stunning jewels with great drama and style.  They are absolutely mesmerizing and worthy of the finest collection.  I was just at the Oscar Academy Awards and similar jewels were all the rage.  Treat yourself or a loved one to a treasure to cherish for generations and one which will only increase in value over time!
