Victorian 14kt Yellow Gold Repousse Amethyst Earrings

Description

These amethyst repousse gold earrings from the Victorian period are very sweet. Made from a set of men’s cuff-links in 14kt gold, each earring has a beautiful oval cabochon in the center. The deep purple amethysts are set in a miligrain bezel with beautiful gold repousse work surrounding the stones. The dangle is 13mm X 10.5mm and the stones measure 7.5mm X 5.5mm. The wire they hang from is made from the cuff links to match the earrings. One earring is stamped "14"  with a hallmark.  When worn, the earrings frame the face beautifully, and would look beautiful worn everyday or on special occasions. They weigh 2.5 grams.
