Description
These are indeed mid Victorian Earrings. They feature a cluster of Rose Cut Diamonds (10 in each earring). They are crafted from 10K Gold for the most part, the fronts are Sterling Silver which is a common practice for setting diamond of that time period as platinum and white gold were not prevalent. The center and very top diamonds are set in a bezel rose gold. The prongs are simple fold over. The earrings are posts with a locking back which pivots from the back. With this being said, one of the posts has been replaced at some point, probably recently as the jeweler did not get the rose gold color a match but this doesn't matter as this portion does not show. Hence the almost new back on one of the earrings, when heat is used on all metals to soldier, it almost becomes new in sheen again which is why one of the earrings, the one with the new post is bright silver as compared side by side with the other.Other than the replacement post, they are in fabulous condition. The rose cuts are relatively clear, not blackened as some are. They are heavily included but sparkle really well. No hallmarks were found but test as 10K and sterling silver with really rose cut diamonds.Measurements:
