Gorgeous Original Victorian Double Section Silver over 18kt Hanging Earrings. These fabulous earrings can be worn as one piece or taken apart to wear the top sections only. Each earring contains 25 Natural Diamonds of which 13 are fine Old European Cut and 12 are Rose Cut Diamonds. (.50 cts. Old European Cut). (.25 cts. Rose Cut Diamonds). They are ornately set on the Silver Top overlaid over the 18kt Yellow portion. Workmanship of the period. The top portion which has the original opening curved up and down closure (18kt) can be worn separately when the bottom section is removed. The Earrings measure 1-3/8" L x 5/8" at widest point. They hang 1/4" lower than that on the lobe. There are a total of .75cts. in each earring or 1.50 cts. Total. (1-1/2 carats). They weigh in total 11.4 grams (7.35 dwt.). These Victorian Earrings are perfect in every way. Never any repairs and the Diamonds are all original with no replacements. The settings are delicately pierced with beautiful dimension.
